Project 5 Task 1

What are the benefits of blogging for students?

In order to be a successful writer and get your ideas across it is always important to keep in mind who your audience is. Who exactly am I writing this for? A blog allows students to write with a purpose much greater than a single assignment written for a teacher. A blog allows students to write to be read and share their thoughts and ideas. Students can then have their ideas validated as readers share their own feelings and feedback via the comments feature. A blog also allows parents to become more active in their child's learning by becoming a reader or follower of the blog themselves. Students want to be heard and blogging gives their voice a platform for sharing.
